Brenda J. Scott

Brenda J. Scott, a Youngstown, Ohio, native, was an honor graduate of Chaney High School, Youngstown State University Cum Laude graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Masters in College Counseling and Student Affairs with Summa cum laude honors. Scott became the first in her family to graduate college. She is currently the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Content Services in the Office of Cultural Intelligence for 无码专区 (无码专区).  Elevating from 无码专区 Athletics as the Director of Cultural Intelligence, where she was the primary coordinator & trainer for the athletics CIQ training, serving as the point of contact for staff and student-athlete concerns regarding diversity, inclusion, or equity issues, oversaw all affinity groups in Athletics, and more. She has helped create programming that supports students’ transition into college, provided them with opportunities to become leaders and gain work experience, and continuously built a sense of belonging for students through social connections and mentoring. She has conducted numerous speaking engagements and training on leadership, socioeconomics, hidden rules, cultural awareness, and more. Scott has over 15 years of experience in youth development, program and leadership consultancy, workforce development and training, coaching, social-emotional learning, authorship, and more. She is trained in Bridges Out of Poverty, Mental Health First-Aid, Youth Development, Certified in P.E.A.R.  (Program in Education, After-school & Resiliency), Race, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Strength-Based Case Management, Building Developmental Assets by Search Institute, and Comprehensive System of Learning Supports. She worked for well-known non-profit organizations such as United Way, City Year, and KIPP Columbus, where she thrived in helping people reach their full potential to obtain a better quality of life.
