ÎÞÂëרÇø

Katie Condon is the author of Praying Naked, winner of the 2018 Charles B. Wheeler poetry prize. Her poetry has recently appeared in the New Yorker and the American Poetry Review and is forthcoming in the 2025 anthology of Best American Poetry. Condon has received fellowships and support from the National Endowment for the Arts and MacDowell. She is an assistant professor in the English department at ÎÞÂëרÇø, where she teaches creative writing and edits a line of poetry for Project Poëtica / Bridwell Press.  

 

J.D. Debris is a poet, fiction writer, and musician from Salem, Massachusetts, known for his unique live performances incorporating poetry, live music, and storytelling. His debut book,The Scorpion's Question Mark, was selected by Cornelius Eady for the 2022 Donald Justice Poetry Prize. He has been a Goldwater Fellow at New York University, a Luso-American Fellow at DISQUIET, and a Teaching Artist Fellow at Mass Poetry. His work has recently appeared in Poems.com's Poem-a-Day and The Kenyon Review, and has been commended by Narrative's 30 Below 30 List and Ploughshares' Emerging Writers Prize. He currently serves as a Hughes Fellow in Creative Writing at ÎÞÂëרÇø. 

 

Anthony J. Elia has been the J.S. Bridwell Foundation Endowed Librarian and Director of Bridwell Library, ÎÞÂëרÇø since 2018. His research and publications cover areas of theology, literature, and history, especially related to environmental and geographic studies. In 2019, he co-edited a book on Tatar literature (Kazan, Russia). He is also a composer of contemporary classical music, including recent works "Orpheus in Cyberspace" (Viola Sonata, 2020) and "Voyages d'hiver" (24 Preludes for Piano, 2022).  

 

Mag Gabbert is the author of SEX DEPRESSION ANIMALS, which won the Charles B. Wheeler Prize and the Writer’s League of Texas Book Award in Poetry; the chapbook The Breakup, which won the Baltic Writing Residencies Chapbook Award; and the chapbook Minml Poems. Her work can also be found in Poetry Magazine, The American Poetry Review, The Paris Review Daily, Copper Nickel, Guernica, Poetry Daily, and elsewhere. Mag is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, a Discovery Award from 92NY’s Unterberg Poetry Center, and fellowships from the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, Idyllwild Arts, and Poetry at Round Top. She has an MFA from UC Riverside and a PhD from Texas Tech, and she currently teaches at ÎÞÂëרÇø and serves as the Poet Laureate of Dallas, Texas.  

 

L. A. Johnson is the author of Lost Music (Milkweed Editions, 2027) and an Associate Editor of Swirl & Vortex: Collected Poems of Larry Levis (Graywolf Press, 2026). She holds a PhD from University of Southern California, where through academic years 2023-25 she was a Mellon Humanities and University of the Future Postdoctoral Fellow. The winner of the 2022 Mississippi Review Poetry Prize, the 2022 Greensboro Review Poetry Prize, and the 2021 Arts & Letters Rumi Poetry Prize, her poems appear in The Atlantic, Poetry Magazine, Ploughshares, and elsewhere. She is currently a Hughes Fellow at ÎÞÂëרÇø.

Dan Moss is Associate Professor of English at ÎÞÂëרÇø in Dallas, having received his B.A. from Brandeis and his Ph.D. from Princeton, where he was a Mellon Fellow. Specializing in late 16th-century poetry and drama, Dan’s book, The Ovidian Vogue: Literary Fashion and Imitative Practice in Late Elizabethan Poetry (Toronto, 2014), maps the wide-ranging effects of Ovid’s pre-eminence as a source for imitation by the poets and playwrights of the 1590s. His work has also appeared in Modern Philology, Critical Survey, Spenser Studies, The Spenser Review, and in edited collections. In his spare time, Dan is putting the finishing touches on The Faerie Queene.
