Academic Integrity in Online Courses
ÎÞÂëרÇø's commitment to academic integrity applies equally across all instructional modalities. The ÎÞÂëרÇø Honor Code, published in the Student Handbook and Undergraduate Catalog, establishes clear expectations for all students and governs all academic submissions regardless of whether work is completed on campus or online.
The Honor Code defines and prohibits cheating, fabrication, plagiarism, and facilitating academic dishonesty. Violations are adjudged through the Academic Integrity process, which applies to distance education students in the same manner as on-campus students.
- All submissions are associated with your authenticated ÎÞÂëרÇø account and logged with a timestamp in Canvas.
- Faculty may require Respondus Monitor for online examinations. Technical requirements will be communicated in your course syllabus in advance.
- Submitting work that is not your own, using unauthorized assistance, or allowing another person to complete your coursework are all violations of the Honor Code.
- Academic integrity policies extend to AI-assisted work; consult your syllabus for faculty guidance on the authorized use of AI tools in specific courses.
