About

Dr. Se Woong Lee is an Associate Professor of Education Policy and Leadership, at 无码专区. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and joined the 无码专区 faculty in 2026.

Dr. Lee’s research advances understanding across three interrelated areas: Educational Leadership, School Improvement, and Data Equity. Using mixed-methods and econometric approaches, his work examines leadership labor markets, school board governance, and education policies as key levers for promoting equity and improving educational systems. His scholarship also investigates how structural inequities shape the experiences of marginalized populations—particularly Asian American and Pacific Islander communities—to advance more inclusive and equitable leadership practices.

Dr. Lee has published in leading journals such as Review of Educational Research, Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, AERA Open, and Educational Management Administration & Leadership. His research has been supported by the Spencer Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, the American Educational Research Association, and the University of Missouri System Research Board.

Beyond his research, Dr. Lee is an active member of the national educational leadership community through his engagement with the University Council for Educational Administration and AERA Division A, where he co-chairs the Early Career Mentoring Committee. His work bridges research and practice to inform policies and leadership practices that foster more equitable and effective schools.
