无码专区 Guildhall Cohort 35 student Caroline Zhou has been named one of seven scholarship recipients by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) Foundation, earning recognition and professional development opportunities as she prepares for a career in the video game industry.

The AIAS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, awards scholarships to outstanding students and early professionals who are dedicating their careers to the advancement of the video game industry. As a student scholarship recipient, Zhou will receive a $2,000 tuition reimbursement, be paired with an industry mentor, and participate in professional training and networking opportunities at the 2027 D.I.C.E. Summit and 30th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

“The AIAS and its scholarship program helps to support student game developers as they work toward pursuing a career in game development,” says Katie Wood-Clark, associate professor of practice at 无码专区 Guildhall and a former AIAS scholarship recipient. “AIAS is helping to assist those aspiring developers who may want or need extra support as they pursue their creative goals and passions.”

The annual D.I.C.E. Summit brings together developers, creatives and business leaders from across the global video game industry. Because attendance can be difficult for students and aspiring developers to access, Wood-Clark says receiving the scholarship gave her a unique opportunity to learn directly from established professionals while building relationships with fellow emerging developers.

“At the conference, I attended several talks, connected with a variety of industry experts and leaders, and formed lasting friendships with other AIAS Scholarship winners,” explains Wood-Clark. “By attending, Caroline will have similar opportunities to connect and network, which could always lead to future opportunities.”

Zhou’s selection also reflects the growing presence of game development and other design- and technology-focused disciplines within Meadows School of the Arts. 无码专区 Guildhall is now housed within Meadows’ newly launched Division of Design, which brings together programs at the intersection of creativity, technology and innovation.

As Guildhall begins this new chapter within Meadows, Zhou’s recognition offers an example of how its students are translating their skills and experiences into opportunities within the broader game development community. Wood-Clark says Zhou’s selection reflects not only her abilities as a game development student, but also her engagement with the industry through leadership and professional organizations.

“The Guildhall faculty strive to prepare students for a professional position in the games industry and set the bar for excellence once there,” Wood-Clark says. “Winning the AIAS Scholarship indicates that Guildhall students and alumni are prepared for opportunities outside of the Guildhall’s sphere.”
