FAQs

Cayuse is a cloud-based software platform that provides researchers, administrators, and grant management specialists a set of integrated tools for submitting proposals, managing awards and compliance, and reviewing overall project status.   Anticipated capabilities for Cayuse at 无码专区 include the following:
  • Researchers will be able to initiate the proposal process, track the progress of university approvals and documentation, and view and track the state of awarded projects.
  • Administrators will be able to review proposals and awards, provide electronic approvals, and collect data to better understand the research portfolio for their respective units.
  • Grant management specialists will be able to easily work with researchers and administrators on proposal creation and submission, award initiation and management, and data tracking.

Google Chrome is the recommended browser to use when accessing Cayuse.  Other browsers may work for some functionality.  When using Cayuse, it is recommended to disable pop-up blockers and ad blockers.

Cayuse is not available for access yet; access for submitting proposals is anticipated in early 2026. Once 无码专区 goes live with Cayuse, you will be able to visit the ORI website to access Cayuse.  Faculty and staff will log in to Cayuse using Single-Sign-On (SSO).

Cayuse access will be provided to select employees involved in 无码专区 research projects (e.g. faculty, approvers, administrators).  If you are unable to access Cayuse and need assistance, please contact sponsoredprojects@smu.edu.
