Quality review does not end at launch. ÎÞÂëרÇø requires that all QM-approved online courses undergo re-review on a five-year cycle. OPS proactively tracks this schedule and notifies faculty and schools in advance. This ensures that ÎÞÂëרÇø's online courses remain current, accessible, and aligned to the QM standard throughout their active lifecycle.
All QM-approved courses at ÎÞÂëרÇø must undergo a full Quality Matters re-review no later than five years from the date of initial approval. This policy applies to all schools and all online course modalities. The requirement ensures courses are reviewed against the current QM rubric and updated to reflect changes in content, technology, and accessibility standards.
OPS maintains a live review inventory tracking the approval date and re-review deadline for every QM-approved course in ÎÞÂëרÇø's online portfolio. OPS proactively notifies faculty and school contacts when a course is approaching its five-year threshold, allowing sufficient lead time for scheduling and production planning.
OPS provides regular pipeline and re-review status reports to the FTC Online Education Sub-Committee (monthly) and summary reports to the COE (quarterly). These reports include the number of courses reviewed, re-review compliance status, and any courses requiring remediation. Governance bodies use this data to make resource and policy decisions.
Between formal five-year reviews, faculty are encouraged to work with OPS to make necessary updates to course content, links, and media. Minor updates do not reset the five-year re-review clock. Significant redesigns may be treated as a new QM review at OPS's and the faculty member's discretion.
